Westminster and Edinburgh must work together to solve oil supply disruption- Bruce5.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 28th Apr 2008
As Aberdeen's oil and gas sector feels the impact of the Grangemouth strikes following the closure of the Forties oil pipeline, local MP Malcolm Bruce said: "The scale of the disruption and the emerging local challenges resulting from the Grangemouth industrial dispute demonstrates just how interdependent we are in Britain. "While the Scottish Executive clearly has a role to play, it is the Government who is responsible for securing supply and this is a classic case where there needs to be a constructive working relationship between the Scottish Executive and the Government in Westminster in order to meet people's needs."
