Malcolm Bruce calls for the Scottish Executive and the Government in Westminster to work together to solve the disruption in oil supply as a result of an industrial dispute at Grangemouth

As Aberdeen's oil and gas sector feels the impact of the Grangemouth strikes following the closure of the Forties oil pipeline, local MP Malcolm Bruce said:

"The scale of the disruption and the emerging local challenges resulting from the Grangemouth industrial dispute demonstrates just how interdependent we are in Britain.

"While the Scottish Executive clearly has a role to play, it is the Government who is responsible for securing supply and this is a classic case where there needs to be a constructive working relationship between the Scottish Executive and the Government in Westminster in order to meet people's needs."
